Broxbourne 2012 - canoeing and kayaking

As part of the London 2012 Olympic Bid, Broxbourne was chosen as the venue for the whitewater rafting and kayaking events. However, on the 8th October 2007 the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) announced that due to contamination risks at the planned Spitalbrook site, an alternative site six miles south is now being investigated.

7th May 2008. The new venue has been confirmed as the Showground in Broxbourne, Herts after it was decided that the original site was too contaminated. More details here
